What does a typical application support agreement include?

Support agreements typically include monitoring, security updates, bug fixes, technical assistance and performance improvements. Depending on your requirements, OWA can also implement small feature enhancements or data updates as part of the arrangement.

What does 24/7 monitoring involve?

OWA monitors hosted applications around the clock to detect performance issues, downtime or unusual activity. Alerts are triggered automatically so our team can investigate and respond quickly before problems escalate or affect users.

How quickly do you respond to technical issues?

Response times are defined through a service level agreement (SLA). Urgent incidents are prioritised and addressed as quickly as possible, while lower-priority tasks are scheduled efficiently within agreed support windows.

Do you provide proactive maintenance and updates?

Yes – ongoing maintenance is a core part of our service. OWA performs regular operating system updates, framework patches and security fixes to keep your application stable and protected against emerging vulnerabilities.

Yes – through our Cloudflare partnership we can implement advanced protection against Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks. This service filters malicious traffic before it reaches your infrastructure and helps maintain availability during attack events.

Security monitoring includes intrusion protection, vulnerability awareness, system patching and alerting when suspicious activity is detected. OWA aims to identify and mitigate risks before they impact your application or its users.

Yes – OWA follows ISO 27001-aligned information security practices and is Cyber Essentials accredited. These frameworks help ensure robust security controls across development, hosting and ongoing support processes.

Hosting & infrastructure

Do you provide hosting as part of the support service?

Yes – support can be combined with OWA’s fully managed UK-based hosting service. This creates a single point of responsibility for infrastructure, security and application support.

Can you support applications hosted elsewhere?

In many cases, yes. OWA can provide support for applications hosted on third-party infrastructure, although we may recommend improvements or migration if the environment presents security or reliability concerns.

How long do support agreements last?

Support agreements are flexible and can be tailored to suit your organisation’s needs. Many clients maintain long-term arrangements with OWA so their applications remain secure, supported and up to date.

Do new projects include any warranty period?

Yes – all applications developed by OWA include a 12-month warranty covering bug fixes and error correction after launch. Ongoing support agreements add protection, maintenance and small feature enhancements on top of the warranty and are integral to the smooth-running of an application.

Can support arrangements evolve as our needs change?
